Keep everyone safe
No harassment, hate speech, threats or bullying — towards coaches, players, parents, referees or anyone else. Disagree with the idea, never attack the person. We apply zero tolerance from the first offence.
Community guidelines
Gaffer is where football coaches learn, share and get hired. These guidelines keep the community worth belonging to — they apply to every post, message, CV, session and profile, on every tier.

01
No harassment, hate speech, threats or bullying — towards coaches, players, parents, referees or anyone else. Disagree with the idea, never attack the person. We apply zero tolerance from the first offence.
02
Never post identifiable images, names or data of minors without a parent or guardian's explicit consent, and never use Gaffer to contact under-age players directly. Follow your federation's safeguarding code at all times — if something puts a child at risk, report it immediately.
03
Use your real name and real qualifications. Don't claim licences, badges or roles you haven't earned — verified coaches display theirs, and false credentials are removed. No impersonation, no fake accounts, no misleading CVs.
04
Share what helps coaches: sessions, analysis, questions, jobs, honest debate. Don't spam, run scams or flood the feed with irrelevant promotion — repeated self-promotion without value gets muted.
05
Only share session plans, drills, decks and documents you created or have the rights to. Credit the coach when you adapt someone's idea, and never scrape, repost or sell other members' content.
06
Don't publish anyone's personal data, private messages or team information shared in confidence. What's said in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.
07
Nothing illegal, nothing that incites violence or discrimination, and nothing that breaks your federation's or league's regulations. If it would earn you a touchline ban, don't post it.
08
Members report, our moderators review. Depending on severity we remove content, issue a warning, suspend features or close the account — and serious safeguarding concerns are escalated to the relevant authorities. Think we got one wrong? Reply to our message and a human re-reviews it.
